The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) announced on July 20 that its Digital Sandbox will be made available starting August 1, 2023.

Features of the Digital Sandbox

• High-quality datasets and Application Programme Interfaces or APIs

• Robust data security protection

• A collaborative platform 

• An observation deck

The platform has been opened to a broad range of innovative businesses, start-ups and data providers such as firms operating in the following sectors: banking, investment, lending, payments, insurance, pension, wholesale buy-side, wholesale sell-side and cross-sectors .

The approval process will take a maximum of 4 weeks.
