22/09/2022 - Coming into force of certain requirements regarding the Québec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, introduced by Bill 64, including but limited to:

• Appointment of a Privacy Officer

• Mandatory reporting of ‘Confidentiality Incident” to the Commission d’accès à l’information (CAI)

• Disclosure of commercial transactions without consent subject to contractual agreement

• Disclosure of personal information without prior consent for study, research, or statistics

• Mandatory notification of the CAI of the creation of a database of biometric characteristics and measurements promptly and no later than 60 days before the database goes live
